rachel-pillow-pickerHi, I’m Rachel, and thanks for checking out my site and pillow reviews 🙂

Having suffered with insomnia and neck issues my entire adult life, I know how important it is to get a good night’s sleep!

Throw three beautiful (but cheeky) kids into the mix and you begin to understand why I value a solid 8 hours so highly.

In fact, I would go as far as saying the pursuit of uninterrupted sleep is a bit of an obsession for me (don’t judge!).

I’m a writer by trade you see, and the first thing they teach you is ‘write what you know’…

Well, I know what it’s like to feel so sleep deprived you fall asleep on your keyword at work and wake up with tiny squares printed into your forehead.

I also know what it’s like to spend hours preparing and brewing my own natural sleep remedy tea. It tasted disgusting and gave me stomach ache that night. Brilliant.

But this story does have a happy ending… Lastly, I know what it’s like to wake up without my neck feeling like an elephant has slept on it all night.

Which brings us full circle back to Pillow Picker. Bit of a niche topic for a blog right? (Yes, my kids tease me).

You see everyone talks about changing your mattress if you suffer from aches or pains. Well, I can tell you first hand, I’ve tried three mattresses in three years, and nothing worked as well as changing my pillow.

Why? It’s all about spinal alignment and that starts with your head, neck and shoulders.

I’m not naive enough to know that everyone is different, and what worked for me may not work for you, but I damn sure know that changing your pillow costs a fraction of the price compared to changing your mattress. So it seems like a pretty logical place to start.

Every pillow I recommend on my site, either me or my tolerant husband have tested. And although my returns section on Amazon is longer than my weekly shopping list (shh don’t tell them I’m doing this), it means that I can write my pillow reviews from experience.

I hope you find them useful, thanks so much for stopping by, and here’s to a good night’s sleep!
